if you don't take an analytical view on how third-gendering frameworks of non-western societies are a colonial viewpoint that both sexes the body via a transmisogynistic orientalist framework & stymies/narrows indigenous gender subjectivity & self narrative among individuals you arent woke enough
i think a lot of people retroactively eternalized as cis men and cis women and grouped into the abstract universal categories of such have as much internal gender complexity
the point is that the reason transness is not a universal abstraction is because a "cis/trans" distinction among women/men/others is socially meaningless in a society where society does not create a cut along transness due to the needs of family/property/heterosexuality as institutions
not that "we distinguish on the basis of an assigned biological sex but this isn't technically trans because cultural relativism of an effeminized racialized lesser" come on guys. you're doing the "this invention of modernity is actually eternal tradition" again.
Jan 30, 2026 13:25you know "heterosexuality is a regime" but are you ready for both "the modern institution of biopolitical heterosexuality and the modern biopolitical surveillance tool of biological sex are colonizer impositions a thousand times more than 'lgbt' is" would people grasp that
you know "transness is culturally determinant" but are you ready for "cisness is even more so, because cisness is the normative imposition"
