- Reposted by birdernickFor years, experts have warned that nature loss would become a security threat. Now a national security assessment confirms it: biodiversity collapse risks food shortages, economic instability and global disorder. Nature underpins our global safety. So why is UK Government failing to protect it?
- Reposted by birdernickThis is a truly horrifying account of increasingly likely collapse of essential natural systems which would bring mass food shortages, price rises & global disorder. Commissioned from UK intelligence chiefs but scandalously suppressed by Govt, & sneaked out now while attention is elsewhere 👇
- The Great Northern Diver yesterday at King Geo V Res, Chingford. It was tucked into the northeast corner of the north basin, so easily missed if you don't go beyond the causeway. #LondonBirds #RarebirdsUK
- The drake Smew yesterday at King Geo V Res, Chingford. #Londonbirds #RarebirdsUK
- GN Diver, Scaup (?), Smew, 2 Black Redstart, 2 Common Scoter at King Geo V Res yesterday. The Scaup had a white area on the bill - not something I've noticed before as my sightings are usually distant. Is this a sign of being a hybrid or normal? #RarebirdsUK #LondonBirds

- Anyone planning a trip to King George V Res, in Chingford - the lock doesn't work. It was also reported yesterday and may possibly be sorted later today. Worth phoning the rangers at Walthamstow before making a wasted trip.....like mine was today. #LondonBirds
- Reposted by birdernickIt’s not adding up. Nature in England is in freefall, yet today’s Office for Environmental Protection report warns the Government is at serious risk of missing its legally binding targets to restore it. That must be a wake-up call. ‼️ (1/2)
