If you review this week's events and Trump's push on Greenland, you may arrive at the scenario I reached: Trump will press to establish bases and even control in Canada's far north and to gain priority access or control of our critical resources. The battle for our far north began with Greenland.
You only need to look at three things: a map of the Arctic, the list of reasons Trump wanted Greenland, and the understanding NATO/Europe will reach with Trump over Greenland.
I believe the Canadian government is under no illusions. You can see where the defence investment priorities are, including Arctic-capable submarines, icebreakers, and greater northern infrastructure.
