The one pre-modern report of the Loch Ness Monster was in the "Life of St. Columba" by Adomnán (7th century CE). Supposedly, St. Columba was attacked by a huge beast in the River Ness, but he drove it off by ordering the beast to leave while St. Columba made the sign of the Cross. #WyrdWednesday
