- The ACLU of Minnesota is devastated by this morning’s news that ICE shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, and is calling for an immediate and transparent investigation into the shooting.

- It looked like an understandable and legally justified move to me, but as we learn more...compassion for all parties is more than warranted.

- She clipped him. It is pretty easy to see what happened at this point. Compassion for all parties concerned is warranted.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Only what I have been told my people who do have knowledge of these situations...but actually, I think when we see all the videos, it becomes impossible not to have compassion for all parties.

- Maybe but he had an instant to react when he saw the vehicle coming towards him. He hears the rev, sees the vehicle move forward and had to try to stop it. We can have compassion for all parties here.

- He was clipped and I think we can see and have sympathy both for Ms. Good, Rebecca and the officer.

- She clipped him and he was lifted off the ground. However this is not for us to decide, we have the gift of judges and juries in our country.
- [Not loaded yet]
- I have no doubt at this point it was self defense but I also realize that Ms. Good may have been just trying to shove him or maybe it was an accident. I can see how you might think what you are thinking too and I appreciate your lifting up judges and juries.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Again, it looks exactly like self defense but it doesn't matter what you or I think. This is what judges and juries are for.
- [Not loaded yet]
- [Not loaded yet]
- I disagree, but this is what judges and juries are for, we can't judge from videos...online and far away or even near at hand!
- [Not loaded yet]
- Well, that's not clear. And I wouldn't want to speak to her state of mind. It might well have been an accident. She clipped him, lifting him off the ground.
- [Not loaded yet]
- I assume you are not serious.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Certainly not, and neither are you. Right? What I am saying it looks like self defense for sure to me, it looks like something else to you. This is what we have judges and juries for.
- ICE has murdered an American citizen in Minneapolis. They're claiming self defense but witnesses say the woman they killed was complying with their orders to get her car out of their way. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
- I can't agree. It looks like self defense to me but this is for the judge and jury to decide. I can see how perhaps she freaked out (I might do the same thing) but I can also see myself (were I an officer) shooting because she clipped and tossed him.
- [Not loaded yet]
- It does look like self defense to me but that is for a judge and jury to decide. The thing is I can see myself panicking in the same way as the woman and I can also see how the officer feared for his life. He is clipped and he's in the air for a moment.
- We cannot be more clear. Leave us the fuck alone.
- I don't think so. In many states we obviously need the feds to come in because the fraud goes to the very top. Ms. Smith you haven't been able to get rid of corruption (at the very least) try to do better.
- Posts may be a bit more sporadic from me today as my kids are home from school because my city is being brutalized by the federal government to the extent that it's unsafe for schools to be open
- Safe from whom? It's us liberals that are freaking out & a danger to ourselves and others. Yes, I think we need to have a decent and orderly way for the working man & the poor to immigrate and we can accomplish that but there is no reason to yell at cops. As JD Vance said, "Attack me, not the cops"
- It does look like self-defense, but this is why we have judges and juries. He looks like he was tossed by her car. From my point of view, I think (and hope) she didn't mean it, she was freaked out maybe, but still...looks like self-defense.

- It's for a judge and jury to decide. It looks to me like self-defense. She clipped him and carried him on her car for a bit. And the background is he just got out all the stitches from somebody else ramming him with a vehicle.

- It looks like self defense to me but I get how people can say different things. This is what judges and juries are for.
- [Not loaded yet]
- That'd be for a forensic scientist to figure out. Now that the 5 ABC video is out & better focused, it's clear that she carried the officer on his car and to be that's suggestive of self defense. The background is that he had been recovering from another anti-ICE demonstrator ramming him with a car!
- Correction (sorta) it seems that some Russian media is reporting a civil war or coup in Iran within days. This says to me that Putin is well aware that the regime may fall. www.mk.ru/politics/202...
- www.mk.ru/politics/202... Hello All, checked sources and it looks like the Russian media believe a civil war or a coup to be at hand.

- Russian media are now reporting that the fall of the Islamist regime in Iran, and the return of the country’s exiled Shah, His Imperial Majesty, Reza Shah Pahlavi II, is now on the horizon and within reach, amid the 11th day of the nationwide pro-Shah uprising.

- Bloomberg's X account has more than 800k followers. Their most recent post was shared five times It would basically come at close to zero cost for outlets like Bloomberg to delete their X accounts, and "We don't want to use a non-consensual deepfake abuse app as a comms platform" is a fine excuse

- Not in Minnesota. Here we have Minnesota Public Radio, and yes, it looks like self defense.

- Minnesota law enforcement have video from multiple angles of an unjustified deadly shooting in Minneapolis. Therefore, they should arrest and prosecute the shooter for murder. The fact that the killer is a federal agent should not alter that basic logic. If anything, charging is even more important.

- From L. Woodhouse: "The MN shooting looks messy and tragic and would take a jury to unpack. There are a hundred details you can’t make out from the video that could put the circumstances in a new light. But people’s politics have a way of making everything clear as day and blame easy to assign."

- So, execution is much different from self defense or even manslaughter.

- And yet, I am a liberal. Although, really a liberal is something one can only aspire to, it means generosity of heart and it's something to pray for. God is liberal, sometimes I know I fall way short.
- [Not loaded yet]
- Well, maybe you should care. We are both not lawyers but it might be a good study, not just for you, for all of us.

- I know. But I think there is disagreement about what happened. This is what juries are for, the backbone of our democracy.

- Execution? What are you talking about? Why would anyone execute anyone? Also, if you are this upset about things maybe it's time to take a break from the interweb.

- It is not at all clear. It looks like she hit him especially from the 5 ABC video. His legs are off the ground.
- Iranians, if you are on this site there is a new message from the King. Hundreds of thousands of starlinks have already been smuggled in. If the internet goes down it is a signal to go to and remain in the streets. You will be victorious. Long live Iran!

- They can't do that because they don't know if the subject is a terrorist or what. I have been through a bit of a similar situation and it took forever for anyone to let my husband through.
- [Not loaded yet]
- I disagree. It looks like self defense because she reversed and drove forward striking the officer. But I am not the jury! The jury is the jury and thank God for them!

- No, I am watching all the videos. Also 5 ABC

- Well, he was limping right after. And the thing is she drove forward. She reversed and drove forward.
