- Today we pushed some optimizations and new updates that allow you to create and manage custom venues on the map. This works differently from "Use current location" for dropping beacons, and instead makes an atproto record for the venue on your PDS.

- Some new Beacon Bits updates have landed! Now when you zoom in to the map, photos will show inside of beacon markers. You can customize how your markers display by setting a profile color in settings.

- Today we're introducing some privacy focused features for dropping beacons. 📸 Use Photo Location: You can now use a photo's metadata to drop a beacon at that location. ⏰ Delayed reveal: You can also add an optional delay before your beacon becomes visible (1h, 1d, 1w, or custom)
- Just pushed an update that adds the ability to like beacons without crossposting to Bluesky, along with a quick like button in the beacon drawer! You can view who has liked your beacon drops from the new notifications page link in the profile menu. 🔔

- Using a Bluesky list for beta access has made it so easy to manage during this initial phase. When someone comments for beta access, I can just click the dot menu on their comment and add to this list. 🪄
