- MYC 3' utr is essential for myc-dependent tumor cells how cool is that!👇
- Does the noncoding genome actually carry more genetic information than coding seqs? Motivated by this question we mutated every bp in the 10kb MYC locus. Results are even more exciting: Decoding the MYC locus reveals a druggable ultraconserved RNA element www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
- fun fact: protein biosynthesis is by far the largest consumer of energy during cellular proliferation
- Reposted by Barak RotblatGood Sunday, all! Here is the curated weekly collection of papers in #cancermetabolism and #mitochondrialbiology. Don't miss it; find it here: biomed.news/bims-camemi/... - reviewing grant applications and making good decisions is hard. the reward function and path of list resistance of grant admis leads to giving more money to ppl who already scored big grants, are in famous institutions and published in glam journals. cheep signals for scientific "excellence"👇

- Reposted by Barak RotblatInternational scientists constitute the engine of much of the most exciting US science. My friend Sonali Majumdar has written precisely the kind of guide that international scientists crave in order succeed as resilient and brilliant scientists. Check it out! @sonali-m-19.bsky.social

- Reposted by Barak RotblatIT'S HAPPENING! 💥 I'm psyched to launch the collaboration between @qedscience.bsky.social & @openrxiv.bsky.social @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social! Preprint + q.e.d = your science is out there, and anyone can appreciate it. Let's care about making discoveries, and not on “getting published” (1/3) 👇
