Also wanted is an understatement the Nazis NEEDED a deal in mid 1940. Yet had a military incapable of forcing a deal (had the wrong bombers, didn't have the shipping for an invasion, and had just crippled there navy fucking about it Norway) so gave up and bet everything on Barbarossa.
