Allo Darlin’s Bright Nights LP is exquisite. It gives me the same feeling I had when I first heard those early Emmy The Great songs - songs which are gloriously, almost jarringly pure. Utterly unmediated. Straight into my ear with nothing in the way; just a thin screen of air dancing between us.
