- Reposted by ASCL (Astrophysics Source Code Library)This board game is amazing! It's super complicated and VERY true to the science. Every astrobiologist board game geek should get a copy! I'm SO impressed at the research behind this game. I would LOVE to review this game! Anyone know how/where I could do that? boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41... 🔭🧪
- Reposted by ASCL (Astrophysics Source Code Library)I’m hiring! Looking for someone with excellent communication skills, knows Python, and wants a career enabling science by creating user-facing content for astronomers. This is a full-time, long-term position that does NOT require a PhD! recruiting2.ultipro.com/SPA1004AURA/... 🔭 Apply by Feb 21st!
- ascl.net is down; we're investigating.
- Twenty codes were added to the ASCL in December, 2025: ACor: Automated Correlation and processing for radio interferometry FGOC: Focal-Geometry and Curvature classifier H21F: Gaussian Process based 21-cm foreground separation code (This time with #astronomy 🔭) (🤦♀️) ascl.net/wordpress/20...

- If you write or use research software, ASCL is here to help others find it, use it, and cite it.

- Reposted by ASCL (Astrophysics Source Code Library)I'm happy to report that "Scenario 2" won't be necessary, as NASA has just communicated to us that SciX funding will continue in 2026 (albeit at a reduced level). Therefore, we will not be forcing astronomers to leave ADS, but rather develop a plan that allows a longer transition.

- As of today, ADS shows that ASCL entries have over 20K citations. Citations are not a perfect metric, but they do show ASCL is being used & is useful for citing software, thereby allowing code authors to get credit for the computational methods they contribute to the field, w00t! 🔭

- 🔭 Astro folks, I'm looking for a good link for a code that's been in ASCL for a while; existing link now fails. Author is deceased (alas); I have not found a replacement link. ASCL's archive does, however, have the code & a copy of the code website. We don't want to violate copyright, but...
