- This is how people now talk on Linkedin. No doubt many think AI is sentient.
- Been busy with the new job but I can’t contain my excitement to work in a company focusing cybersecurity, is European tech, and will not build generative AI anything. Islands of coherence

It is time for a European policy plan for EU-US decoupling with steps to minimise the harm MAGA America is able to inflict on Europe" ht @martinsandbu.ft.com www.ft.com/content/89f1...

The only core, vital US interest in the Indo-Pacific is described as the security of sea-lanes,supply chains,&critical minerals. No mention of Japanese, Korean,Taiwanese security"

- Reposted by Angelos Arnis 🏴15 years ago I borrowed a bulletproof vest from a reporter so I could report from a war zone. I held onto it after I returned. Last week the reporter finally asked for it back because he is headed to Minneapolis.

- Today’s find. I walked into a new bookstore… so I had to. The Nietzsche book is a cheap copy but I thought I’d give it a proper read. Radical antiquity was a book that intrigued me when I saw it online so I had to grab it.
- Every company: AI is revolutionizing everything. Autocorrect when I type my name after so many years doing so: “oh what you really meant to write is Angelo’s”
- Reposted by Angelos Arnis 🏴“Danish citizens are organising a huge boycott that includes cancelling planned holidays in the US, cancelling subscriptions to on-demand services based in the US & more generally, recommending the use of EU services instead of those provided by American platforms.” So, same as Canadians.

- They presented him a certificate of Greenland and he was happy about it
- Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"
- Also, instead of being cyborgs, adding knowledge into our half-machine brains via inserting cool chips, we just outsource the production of knowledge to some dumb machines that produce sub-par results and make us even dumber.
- “around 70 percent of the cloud services Europe uses are provided by US tech giants Microsoft, Amazon or Google.” Finland should embrace their own cloud or move to European only. The problem is a lot of companies have built a whole ecosystem of dependence on US tech yle.fi/a/74-2020554...
- A painful parody of real design leaders telling designers “you just need to speak more business” aka fuck the user really we have objectives and budgets instead, or else
- Update: I caved in. Mac it will be again...
- Drumpf makes his daddy so proud
- The Trump move on Greenland is celebrated as a huge victory on multiple fronts by Moscow. As Danish papers and the Danish intelligence service have documented, the whole effort to persuade Trump that he "needed" Greenland was born in the Kremlin. kyivindependent.com/russia-welco...
- Reposted by Angelos Arnis 🏴The threatening and fascistic dictates of the Trump administration met a series of stumbling blocks over the weekend. From Minnesota to Denmark, and from protesters to politicians, people have had enough. www.planetcritical.com/and-the-worl...

- I've been thinking about design's response within this polycricis / metacrisis / permacrisis (also bonus: polycollapse) state of the world. There are 3 responses I see and then a fourth one which is almost like a wishful thinking, but not out of the field of possibility.
