100% agree but also this is the feeling I get when I see any ads at all tbh
whenever i see ads for online gambling i get the same feeling as when you realize all the water is slowly pulling away from the shore at the beach
For sure – I just think gambling ads make the capitalist impulse more blunt in its ugliness. There's no product to maintain the illusion of value, it's just raw exploitation
Yeah, I am bothered by almost all ads (small carve out for things like genuinely useful public information, promoting charities, etc) but gambling ads fill me with so much rage because there's just nothing to them but knowing, deliberate lies & manipulation. Just dirty tricks and nothing in return.
