- It always fascinated me the thinking that "a design system makes everything look the same". Well yes, a brand's, in this example, web experience should be consistent and feel familiar no matter where you are in that experience.
- And with the extensibility of a system through themes and variables you can add additional palettes to leverage if you need a special case page or experience. Imagine the inverse. A fragmented experience where each page uses a different grid, buttons have vastly different colors.
- The experience would feel disjointed. Beyond just a disconnect between each page that would stand out to designers. Your average user/customer would notice the lack of consistency. You start getting into the space of brand awareness and trust.

- Hi, I'm surfacing from Path of Exile 2 to say happy new year. K back to farming.
- Will say it's wild that rarity is necessary right now. Running at 200% increased rarity, then ran a new character with no rarity and the difference in drops is staggering

- Okay early thoughts from someone who no-lifed the early access weekend for Path of Exile 2. Difficulty feels amazing, love the boss fights and having to master mechanics and dodge. Using uncut gems to allow you to choose what skills to level up or try is a great system. Huge surplus by cruel.
- Two button play style. Ran two builds with this. Witch that did the frostwall + fireball combo. And Witchhunter that does Grenade + Detonator. Have to say that this feels like bladefall/blade blast. Not new to the two button playstyle but it felt great in two. Love that there are more options.
- Gearing and loot. This is where I'd like more transparency from GGG. In livestreams we were told that with runes, and dropped currency we'd be able to craft replacement gear through the acts. I found this to not be my experience at all.

View full threadThese are all thoughts from someone that got a Witch hunter into end game around lvl 64. And a Bloodmage to level 43. Your mileage may vary, and it's early access, but this is the feedback I think GGG is looking for. Solid game, just kind of confused when it comes to loot and gearing.
- Made it to the endgame maps with a witch hunter. Also have a blood mage sitting at lvl 43 because of course I have an alt already. Game feels great, could use some more clarity on a few game decisions but I can see myself playing this for a long time. #pathofexile2 #poe2
- If we get anywhere near the expected 1 million early access players then I'm not mad at all with my place in the PoE2 queue

- I've finally conquered Figma. Full carousel component that maintains every card's aspect ratio, alongside displaying peeks on the left and right. The big win are the peeks act independently of the carousel but the cards scale responsively.

- Welp, Path of Exile 2.. seems like I'ma have to go all out on the supporter packs because I'm ready to invest another 10k hours
- Got to have a conversation with a friend and his team as they look to ramp up their design system. I feel so fortunate to have found that little niche in design that hits the exact right parts of my brain and I can excel in.
- Started to look at ways to call out how tokens play a role in building out these components. Not sure if this is the route I'll go but thought it was a neat exploration.
