Even the JCS know that their flanks are exposed if they lose NATO and other partnerships. Are they that suicidal? I'd like to think not.
If you are saying that that's not a possibility, then the only solution to the dilemma is revolt and civil war. Do the Opposition have the stomach, organisation and means to split the US military and direct their force?
From Europe, we would like to think so, but see no evidence.

If the JCS are a problem then they must be isolated and liquidated by the coupist subordinate commanders' forces within the first minutes.
These are just scenarios, of course.
