Very curious for any of you that are prose writers or experiment in that lane for yourself or for work, what methods/programs/organization/idea generators/books/etc do you use when you'e writing?
I'm dancing around a novel concept. But novel writing feels so vast for my brain. I need order.
Follow up question: In the TV/Film world we write a "two pager" which is effectively a 2-3 page sales pitch for the project. Logline, characters, tone, audience, summary, etc. Is this a thing that happens in publishing? Would that be a treatment? Yes I can google this but I like talking to people.
Second follow up question: Do I know any TV or comics people who are also about to embark on this journey in any way? Or novel people just starting something? I have two fiction and one nonfiction concept. So open to any. Would love a journey buddy.
I'm just starting to work on a novel myself. I tried toying around in Scrivener a bit but I think its interface is a little too complex for me to organize, so I'm just doing stuff in a Google Docs folder. (But Chrome's new split tab view is really helpful to go between MS and reference docs!)
