- Fallow (and Muntjac) browsing out the bramble was considered a big factor at Bradfield Woods in decline of Nightingales, and elsewhere for declines of e.g. Garden Warbler, Bullfinch and Dunnock, which are strongly tied to woodland bramble. Foresters not so keen on bramble, ornithologists more so!
