Debbie. Maui is still recovering from the horrific fires. The bank is still holding several $Billion for repairs.
Hawai’i Island has 13 climate zones, so being prepared (when possible) helps. Lots of visitors this year. Episode 42 of Kilauea is due soon. ☮️🤙

It wasn't commercialized but there was a hotel being built so I'm sure it is now.
Lanai used to be owned by Dole, then Murdoch and now 92% of Lanai is owned by Larry Ellison. Murdoch still owns 2% due to ‘transmission lines’ yet, that may have changed in the few years. There are two extremely pricey hotels there. One on the Mountain and one by the water. I haven’t been there.
