- Rosy-faced lovebirds 🦜💚
- Woke up really feeling the existential dread today. Sometimes it helps my brain to watch these live bird feeds and remind myself that good things are real too. Discovered another beautiful eagle family: www.youtube.com/live/SRvfnHW...
- Good morning :) ☕️🦜
- A northern mockingbird telling me to watch where I'm walking next time...and to maybe not wear flimsy sandals while birding. 😅

- Happy Birthday, Etty ♥️ (Jan 15 1914 - Nov 30 1943) #botd #EttyHillesum "I find life beautiful, and I feel free. The sky within me is as wide as the one stretching above my head. I believe in God and I believe in man, and I say so without embarrassment. Life is hard, but that is no bad thing. 1/
- Not a very good pic, but I saw my first cactus wren at work today. He was a cutie. #birdwatching
- Mary Oliver, Red Bird, 2008 I posted something last night about wrestling with anxiety and depression, then deleted it soon after because sharing made me feel anxious and embarrassed. I feel very grateful for so many beautiful things in life, and I want to be able to hold on to those feelings too.
- Went back and explored the Audobon preserve area this morning and was so excited to spot a belted kingfisher and red tailed hawk on my own, and get a really good look at both in my binoculars :)
- I was completely dazzled by the BBC Planet Earth series when it came out 20 years ago. Fresh out of high school and stuck in some very narrow beliefs about life, I found many clips in the series awe-inspiring and mind-blowing, and none more so than this bird of paradise clip. youtu.be/nWfyw51DQfU
