- I enjoy Matt Reeves’ The Batman, but I do have to admit Andy Serkis is the weakest Alfred in any of the main theatrical films.
- Which isn’t even Serkis’ fault, it’s just he’s competing with Michael Gough, Michael Caine, Jeremy Irons, and the voice of Ralph Fiennes, and those are all time picks that feel perfect. Comparatively…Serkis is fine. Honestly I’m just sad the Irons casting only lasted two movies.Feb 1, 2026 04:43
