- It's that time of year again: the people were clamouring for another guest lecture. Today I got to infodump about the crusades for 2 hours in Mike Fulton's Medieval History survey at UWO
- "Wow good thing nobody saw that" - the squirrel that fell out of the tree

- Aw Catherine O'Hara 😟 Here is one of the greatest all time SCTV sketches youtu.be/ZaHfWqmC18A?...

- We went to Toronto for our anniversary and I just ran into Darryl Sittler. I didn't say anything, I just thought, oh, neat, Darryl Sittler. Then a couple of minutes later I'm like what the hell?? Why didn't I get a picture??? Oh well
- Hmm let's see what the weather is today
- It's so cold I'm thinking about putting on a long-sleeve shirt. It's so cold I'm actually thinking about wearing SOCKS
- Watching the first episode of Starfleet Academy
- I was chauffeuring my daughter and her friends around for a few hours today but it's exhausting listening to a bunch of preteens and trying to follow or even understand anything they're saying. I had to sit in the dark and quiet at home for awhile
- The best part of going grocery shopping with a family riddled with ADHD is never, ever making a list. Do we know what we need? No. Is the stuff that we get anything we actually needed? Also no.
- I thought I should finally read Pride and Prejudice, and then I thought I should finally watch Sharpe. I'm in my Regency Era era
- I look forward to complaining it's too hot when it's 70 degrees higher than this
- America will not shirk its responsibility to the freedom-loving people of Fernando Poo!
- I was putting off watching Starfleet Academy because it felt like a chore, like I was doing it just to be a completist, but the first episode was surprisingly really good!
- I got flat feet so I can't join the army but I'm willing to lure invading soldiers into the forest for favours and murder them when their guard's down
- Last month I lost my keys, the day I was putting up the Christmas lights. Are they under the snow? In the garage? Did someone find them and now they're waiting for the right opportunity to rob my house and steal my car??! Nah they fell into the basket of hats and gloves inside, we found them today
- From Dutch Duolingo I learned that a sandwich is a "boterham". Ah yes, a translation of jambon-beurre, of course. But apparently that's just a coincidence?? The boter part might be butter but the ham part is unrelated
- A full 1000 points for this, haha. They were extremely generous
- Schools are closed for this? This is nothing!
- The most realistic part of the Jason Bourne movies is in the first one when he's talking to the hotel guy in Paris on the phone and the the hotel guy says "I think no" instead of "I don't think so." Very authentic talking-to-a-French-person-in-English experience
- Hmm, pretty good. Apparently it's a bit wider and less tall than I remember. I know where Gdansk and Silesia are though
- Why am I still on Facebook...well poor choices but basically, aside from family, there are also a lot of shitposting and meme groups. The past few days have been a great time for feeding blocks into the block log. Blocking bootlicking chuds is ultimately meaningless but still fun and cathartic.
- Thanks to the inexorable march of time this is a three-adult household. My son is now 18 and can do many exciting things like vote and buy scratch tickets
