- A hugely important step forwards.
- Reposted by Councillor Adam HugThis will get massively overshadowed today and as ever the devil is in the detail, but is should be one of the best things Labour has done. It has the potential to improve the lives and finances of millions of people. www.businessgreen.com/news/4524489...

- I don’t comment much on international issues these days but the courage of the Iranian people is only matched by the cruelty and violence of the regime. Horrific scenes.
- Really important progress in making Londoners feel safer from Sadiq and the Met.

- Out delivering Christmas hampers earlier to residents at Glastonbury House as part of the great work of Westminster Connects
- Busy Sunday: Canvassing, followed by the SMF older people’s Tea Dance and the WBA kids fun day
- Vote Tory, get Reform by the next election.
- With the team at Maida Hill market Christmas fair
- 2 child benefit cap cut is an important step forward to cutting poverty in Westminster & rest of the country as are the increases to National Minimum & National Living wages. Welcome decision to introduce an Overnight Visitor Levy but local share must be substantial to support vital work Councils do
- Reposted by Councillor Adam HugToday the Government announced plans to give mayors the power to introduce an overnight stay levy. CLF has been calling for these powers and we welcome the announcement. Below is a comment from @adamhug.bsky.social
- Come work with the wonderful Westminster Labour team for our final campaign push for the May 2026 elections www.westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/2025/...
- Vote Tory in Westminster; get Reform. The second Westminster Conservative defection in recent months to Reform. Given how right wing some of the current Tory candidates are who else might make the jump particularly after the election in May? www.mylondon.news/news/zone-1-...

- Really disappointing that Westminster Conservatives refused to support this motion tonight ‘Standing united against the rise of the far right and in support of inclusive communities’ westminster.moderngov.co.uk/mgAi.aspx?ID...
- Beautiful Remembrance Sunday services at Westminster Abbey and the Paddington War Memorial

- Out on Woodfield Road this afternoon with @davidboothroyd.bsky.social picking up issues with delayed communal redecorations by Notting Hill Genesis and ASB concerns
- Two great black history month events tonight with the youth council and the global majority staff network
- Hugely important that the Government got this over the line to help give renters more security.
- Time to take control of the meows cycle
- It’s because the rent-a-quote MPs who often spout this stuff have real trouble distinguishing between ‘Westminster’ (SW1 bit with their palace in) & Westminster the borough with 42% of households living in poverty. And also seem to think we can fund social care from the (parking income) roads budget
- Latest in Tories losing the plot news. This is both ridiculous and racist.

- Important to see the GLA's ongoing commitment to delivering transformation on the east side of Oxford Street inline with the approach developed by Westminster Council, business and residents to deliver great public realm improvement whilst retaining bus travel www.london.gov.uk/city-hall-ap...

- They have gone completely f***ing mad. Seemingly willing to deport anyone (they’re creating a UK version of ICE as you’ll recall) earning less than 38.7k per year or if you’ve ever had housing support and irrespective of whether you have a British spouse or kids. Not in our city, not in our country
- This is disgraceful. Heading down a very dark path.
- Westminster spends its time fighting off one mad tax scam after another. Really keen to see more from HMRC and others to get to the bottom of this snail farm loonery along with our previous candy and wizard problems.
- I think this is the weirdest story I've ever reported. www.londoncentric.media/p/terry-ball...

- Praying that the ceasefire holds, that aid can come in, the hostages can come out and Gaza can start to rebuild after two of the worst years imaginable.
- Out with David Boothroyd talking to residents in Harford House in Westbourne.
- The Government's new funding means £1.9m more for local prevention and outreach; £92k for additional drug and alcohol services and £350k to help children living in temporary accommodation. Labour working together locally and nationally to help people www.westminsterlabour.org.uk/issues/housi...
- Delighted that Westminster is getting an extra £2.3m directly as part of this new government funding package, in addition to support for pan-London services. This includes over £1.9m for rough sleeping services and £350k to help children in temporary accommodation www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
- Great to work with BBC Verify to evidence how the 90 day rule for short-term lets in London is being routinely broken. Mandatory registration with 90 night tracking underpinned by the use of Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRNs) to stop bogus listings can't come soon enough.
