- I like your suggestion of “What is this child experiencing, and how can we help?” It's a good first question with no referral forms, no waiting, and no cost. Just compassion with a sprinkling of ambition.

- Interesting article on #Screentime Makes me wonder if we'll soon see posters promoting face to face interaction? Slogans like 'Your local web is worth more than the worldwide web...' I say this as adults are role models - for good or ill.

- Does anyone here know of innovative ways to improve school buildings with minimal cost? I’d love to chat about it (especially if it relates to Primary).

View full thread1. Yes. E.g. * Removed need for ear defenders for chdn with SEND (when in dining hall) * Child who was eating elsewhere now able to eat in hall. * Chdn can hear without having to raise voices. * MDSA goes "home without headache." * Cook hears what chdn ask for without having to guess/lip read.
- 2. No. Some modern school halls already have design features to have less noise bouncing around (e.g. ceiling tiles with better acoustic properties). I suspect they'd have much less impact there. Other than that, probably yes.
- I don't know how minimal you mean, but these aren't that expensive and last 15 years+. When we reduce reverb noise, then children need not raise their voices as much. That leads to more pro-social behaviour. bsky.app/profile/9000...
