One of the issues i've always had with medieval fiction is, well, being asian and mixed race both makes it difficult for me to really imagine myself as part of that world. kcd2 has a black muslim character with a historically grounded background (as they all are) and I appreciated his presence a lot
it also got me rather medieval-europe-pilled which is quite an incredible feat, really. and it was healing for my soul to stop working and drawing for a bit and just wank around with a videogame doing nothing for a while. i'll probably just waste time reading fanfic for a while more

It feels like being asked to play into a fantasy by assuming a facade of whiteness. In truth the world is both incredibly colored and beautifully connected
