- Reposted by rm [-r] liningerI have zero bandwidth to develop the idea, but the last decade has given rise to a gulliblity style, where a source’s statement is treated as the story regardless of whether it’s true or plausible. It creates stories that are technically true but functionally misinformation. You see it everywhere.

- Reposted by rm [-r] liningerSo believe me I understand this is deeply frustrating and unfair, but a march that does everything right and still gets tear gassed is a successful march that is winning. A lot of the strategy of protest is luring the authorities into engaging in obviously, transparently unjust uses of force.
- Reposted by rm [-r] liningerAnd just to further put a point on it, this is very explicitly the point of militant nonviolent protest. To demonstrate incontrovertibly to even the low info news consumer that agents of the oppressor are engaging in an entirely one-sided brutality against the vulnerable

This is looking like a 25+ point swing in TEXAS -- nearly doubling the average +13 swing we've been seeing. Don't leave any seat unchallenged. Make the GOP spend all their resources.

- I know people are really mad about this article. I have also seen claims that it’s slanted. I’ve been experimenting with caipirinha recipes, for science, so I can’t check now. But. Jeffries is also talking about DETAINING US citizens. They are going for Kavanaugh Stops. That’s NOT nothing.
- I made caipirinhas tonight! There are two kinds of recipes. One muddles limes and adds ice, cachaça, and simple syrup. One muddles limes with granulated sugar, then adds ice and cachaça. I tried one of each. TL;DR don’t use simple syrup. Use the sugar.
