I love Cities, Buildings, Books, Dogs, Politics, Music. Not always in that order. So, so many thoughts on so many things.
- Agree. This is not a situation we should expect (or frankly, want) state and local officials to have expertise in handling. I'm not sure I would have believed anyone ten years ago who said this would be happening today. Silly me.
- I feel like we have reached a point where everyone needs to post a copy of the Bill of Rights in their front window and cities need permanent billboards displaying them. www.billofrightsinstitute.org/primary-sour...

- I love this. It should be happening all across the country.
- Maybe the most frightening thing I read this week. “Children who were just entering the early years of public school when Trump first ran based on a racist rant in 2015 are now graduating from high school thinking that this is normal.” www.alternet.org/alternet-exc...
- This is insane! How many Americans realize the level of surveillance ICE is conducting on us all?
- WOW. @haleaziz.bsky.social with a new scoop: ICE now gets a running list of every person who is going to be taking a domestic flight inside the United States from the TSA and runs it through their database looking for targets. This explains the Babson College student's arrest.
- Yet another example of Trump’s policies hurting the American economy. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
- Any self respecting Realtor shouldn’t need a law to make them do this. Creating false expectations of a property is just self defeating. It is hard for most buyers to move past the initial shock and disappointment when they see the reality of a property that has been “glamorized “ by AI.
- Guilty By Definition by @susiedent.com is a great read. But slowed down by the number of words I have to look up and the rabbit holes they lead to.
