- this is extremely fucked up for human beings. you're normally separated from other people by virtue of physical distance, and social structures arise to counter that and build ties incrementally. public social networks completely invert that pattern. so does the open web, but that's different:
- the open web does not make everything immediately extremely discoverable to everyone else. this app has the Discover feed, which is something that imo should not exist, because it creates social ties algorithmically. social ties should always be created through individual human intent.

- can't eat any meats/fish (wouldn't anyway, i'm mostly vegan now) or nuts or broccoli because high uric acid. can't eat fats because my gallbladder's full of sludge. can't eat sweets or much carbs because my liver's scarred by fat buildups around it. can't eat less because it makes more sludge.
- eating leafy greens regularly is tricky because going out to buy them regularly means more exposure to covid that i could be avoiding, and regular delivery would be really expensive. i guess i can eat some beans. lots of beans. all the beans. at least the ones low in purin. i need a nutritionist.
- gallbladder problems hurt yall. some of the worst pain i've experienced ever. somehow worse than a prolapsed cervical disc, which is wild. lose the fucking weight. slowly. steadily. it will fuck you up in the long run in a million ways.

- atm10 has me wanting to buy a proper gaming pc and i have neither the time nor the money for it but goddamn is it tempting. i do think i'll pass — it's not like i could share that joy with anyone unless i buy two of them and anyway the games that my wife and i both enjoy are usually lightweight
