- It’s time for another #retro #wrestling watchthrough with #WCW Monday Nitro! I’m watching the second episode, which aired on September 11th… 1995! It was a different era, for many different reasons. Again, quite the hype opening, and I’m just now realizing Monday Nitro is a pun on Monday Night.
- We sadly don’t return to the Mall of America (missed opportunity for marketing, guys!), and instead find ourselves blowing the budget for pyrotechnics in Miami, Florida.
- Our hosts introduce us to the show, and I’m blindsided by Steve McMichael calling WCW the biggest thing since “WHERE’S THE BEEF”. Meanwhile, Eric Bischoff introduces a flashback for those of us who missed the end of Monday Nitro or didn’t have a best friend tell us the tale of the ring that day.

View full threadHonestly, that episode was amazing for reasons of just wrestling talent. I was bewildered by PASTAMANIA and the Mall of America last episode, but the sheer talent of Sabu and Alex Wright was amazing. Solid 7/10 episode. Damned fun, and I’ll be seeing you next time AT THE WAR GAMES PAY PER VIEW EV-
