- Popped along to the Private View of the We Rise exhibition at the Fishslab Gallery in Whitstable tonight. Thrilled to see my Sea Raven linoprint has got a 🔴. The PV was packed and there was some great work! Well done to SOS Whitstable. It's on until 10th February so do go along if you can.
- Lunch or Love? A new print for this month of romance. Let's face it it's a question that we all ask ourselves occasionally. In the printmaking tradition, following in the footsteps of the likes of Edward Bawden, Tirzah Garwood and Enid Marx I've made a comical Cat print. handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com
- Enjoyed conjuring these cute little guys out of the inside surface of a juice carton today. More soon.
- Working on something comical. I mean, it's amusing me so that's the main thing! Note my high-tech registration jig.
- Oh my goodness did I love Trinity Buoy Wharf. As someone who loves a Lighthouse/Lightship and the hull of a boat I was pretty much in heaven. Expect linoprints.
- Attended the best online Portrait drawing session today. Armed with my Blackwing pencil I made some drawings I really like (a rare treat indeed). God, I love drawing.
- Happy Birthday Derek.
- My Sea Raven (Cormorant) will be getting a little outing next week in the SOS Whitstable We Rise exhibition at the Fishslab Gallery, an exhibition all about the Sea and what it means to the artists. If you're local pop along!
- Introducing The Cat that got the Cake? This four-layer multi-block Linocut Print is a tribute to beautiful Ginger Cats (and Cake). My inspiration came from Orlando the Marmalade Cat by Kathleen Hale and the Nothing Need Be Ugly exhibition, which I attended on my birthday. handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com
- Still wasting your time faffing around with juice cartons Tina? Guilty as charged. Still preaching about the transformative power of creativity? Absolutely. Still hoping that society will someday prioritise the things that matter - love, peace, mental wellbeing, art, nature, inclusivity? Yep. Sigh.
- My Snowdrop obsession has culminated in a Tetrapak Print. The flower has long been viewed as a symbol of hope for better times ahead. To me the dark background tone of these prints evoke all of the elements that these fragile flowers (and hope) withstand. handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com

- Lovely trip to the cinema to see H is for Hawk. Brilliant film.
- Things are slowly slowly falling into place. The third of four layers is printed, and the last lino block for the cat in the second photo is ready. Now for a cup of tea....
- Snowdrops by the light of the waxing crescent moon. Hope in the darkness.
- I put the blue gloves on this week to make a new Tetrapak Print. This should give you a good idea of the inking up and wiping off process, starting with the plate once it's almost ready to print and working backwards.
- The weather and the world are not making it easy to jump out of bed this morning.
- I finished my linoprint last year, only to miss the Snowdrops. Today, I set out to find the first ones. This piece also includes a Fieldfare, a 'traveller through the fields', which I think is lovely. You can find more information about the print at handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com
- Hopefully things are becoming slightly clearer now - here's layer 3 of my latest linoprint being inked up, and then layer 2 printed.
- Something new....what could possibly be the three emerging items in this work in progress linoprint? Go on, have a guess...
- It's always nice to see artworks in real life, in between any fairs I'm doing you can now find many of my prints in the shop at the absolutely stunning Monkshill Farm. Whilst there you can also admire the view across to the sea and make friends with all of the characters. linktr.ee/Monkshillfarm
- Popped into The Horsebridge in Whitstable to see the fabulous inPRINT today! Wow, so brilliant to see so much printmaking in one room!! The first photo shows my Prospect Cottage linoprint among friends. I strongly urge you to go and see this show!!
- Try something new in 2026...
- I think Pantone have got it wrong, Orange seems to be the colour for 2026 so far! So very glad to be posting these out to two homes today. Extraordinarily grateful to still be getting orders in bleak January. It's really helping me out, and hopefully providing a little cheer to those ordering too.
