- Government lawyers say they’re overwhelmed & can’t get a response when they tell ICE to comply with judges’ orders. Clearly, ICE is out of control. Trump & supporters agree to give it all the resources at the expense of the rest of government.
- In Minneapolis and also Seattle, reports are emerging about agents gassing people at close range, spraying chemicals from inches away into people’s faces. They volley pepper balls into the crowds of parents with children and elderly people.
- Melania currently has a 5% rating on Rotten Tomatoes compared with Becoming, which has 93%. I was glad to read this. Michelle consistently does polished, thoughtful work while Melenia is mostly absent from the public stage. I like to see effort rewarded.
- Republican U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, the senior Mississippi representative in the U.S. Senate, Is asking DHS NOT to build an ICE detention center in his state. He says residents have valid concerns and DHS is disregarding community input.
- A majority of voters think the Trump administration has not given an honest account of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti. Maybe it is because their eyes see?
- Marc Thiessen thinks Trump "cannot allow Iran to defy his warnings with impunity," but he forgets several things: 1- Trump gives meaningless ultimatums all the time, then backs down. 2- Trump's ICE kills protesters — Iran doesn't need a double standard.
- Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper didn’t mention Trump by name but urged Canada’s two major parties, the Liberals and Conservatives, to unify in the face of threats to the country’s sovereignty.
- Keep up the pressure, everyone. It appears to be working.
- ICE promised the girl they would drop her off at school & only take mom, then sent her to jail for a month. If the child had two parents in country, why did she need detention? The family has an active asylum case; they are not even trespassers.
- The administration who made a juvenile cartoon out of a lump of coal to promote the filthy product of some of its best donors now is rigging things so that clean, renewable energy gets shuffled to the back of the room.
