- Earlier today, I was discussing with @michael.eugster.photo whether following a (street) photography workshop or photowalk is beneficial. And just now, post-run, I was listening to an episode of the DARE Photography podcast where @the_street_thief said the following quote.Jan 23, 2026 15:39
- “By the way, my feeling is that you’re happy (with your photography), you don’t need to be doing workshops.” (Full episode of the Dare Photo Podcast: open.spotify.com/episode/7Aqs...)
- And I think that’s a very good way to look at it. Doing a workshop can help you improve. But it’s not the only way to improve. And maybe it’s not your way of learning or improving skills. Maybe you don’t feel the need to improve if you just want to do it for fun and like it as it is, for example.
- The discussion with Michael was, of course, part of my podcast. The episode will be published on the 28th of February. Feel free to subscribe already and listen to the previous and other upcoming episodes: open.spotify.com/show/4QMO6fG...
