- I'm always surprised how healthy the HP fanfic output still is. Lots of it is queer, and AUs/reimagined endings rule, so I feel like there's a lot of trying to retain ownership of a little bit of a thing they loved, but I just fundamentally don't get it. But at least it's not money going to JKR
- I don't really want to judge people for it, god knows it's why I still go over to have a look at what's going on over there every now and then, and I've not seen a single fic expressly support JKR's position on *anything*, and moreover a lot of fanfic is about fixing the canon so it's not shit lol
