- Quick reminder that Trump's private social media cesspool got is name from the movement that Trump was a famous proponent of, questioning the validity of Barack Obama's birth certificate. There is no mystery here. Trump has always been overtly fucking racist.

- Not for nothing, it's worth noting this new trend of news outlets treating the phrase "ai generated" as if that means it has no specific origin and just, like, manifested from the racist æther of the internet. The ultimate in passive voice.
- This is part of a very longstanding tradition of New York Times editorial legerdemain on behalf of racism and fascism. Things are done, but nobody does them. Bullets hit protesters in confrontations with police rather than the cops shot protesters. Racist effigies are raised; nobody raises them.
- It isn't that I wasn't him specifically to be president (I do, I know he can't, shush); it's that he represents a version of the Democratic party that I would actually proudly be a part of. Not just because I agree with him politically (I do), but because his whole persona is refreshing.
- Is it all an act? Maybe, but I doubt it. He seems genuine in a way that's really rare in politics. And even if that's a facade, it's one I believe in supporting. It's the kind of fiction that can be purposeful and still genuine in its way.
- The most "powerful" men on earth are a bunch of self pitying sad sack whining miserable fuckless uncharismatic dullards. Under no circumstances should we ever think of them as successful.
- I think I honestly hate Chuck Schumer as much as I hate Trump himself. He's just so fucking limpid and incapable.
- He is arguably as damaging to democracy as the over fascists because he is actively undermining the actual resistance at every turn. At this point I have to believe he's closet MAGA and actively working for the regime.
- It's too early to say who I will vote for in the primaries, but not to late to say who I won't. I wouldn't have voted for Gavin Newsom is he were the only Democrat running, but now I at least will likely have an option who is merely incredibly frustrating and not *that snake.*
- Harris is also way more likely to be capable of shifting to the normie center without being overshadowed by Biden. I'll even accept a change of approach to Gaza that acknowledge the genocide existing. An apology to protesters would be nice but I'll stay breathing on that one
- This is the only explanation
- MattY's passion for believing in nothing as a political strategy is unmatched in the world of valueless pundits.
- In memoriam: Republicans who used to pretend to care about "States' rights" when it came to combating civil rights at the local level.
- Holy fuck
