- Appeasing fascists never works!!! Just ask law firms, universities, and Trump’s former political allies.

- Reposted by Mari Latibashvili (she/her)"SCOTUS allows Trump admin to deport people to random countries with no notice" Honestly still can't believe that I wrote this headline today, let alone that the U.S. Supreme Court's majority did so.
- No way to overstate how insane this is.

- Got to talk about my favorite thing (organizing around anti-fascism and abolition) with @seriouspod.bsky.social & @mattcameron.bsky.social on their podcast, Opening Arguments. Thank you Thomas, Matt & Lydia for amplifying student / activist voices! Hope y’all enjoy listening to the episode! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
- And anyone who has ever been on the phone with me will hear the familiar meows of Spinach🐱 towards the end of the episode. He had to make sure he was heard!!
- just going to re-up this for no reason at all 😁
- Reposted by Mari Latibashvili (she/her)Border and Rule is available for free download! I wrote a book spanning ICE & borders, Palestine & policing, colonialism & global fascism - in service to internationalist struggles. I can no longer travel to US, but this book (as well @silkys13.bsky.social & @micahh.bsky.social 's) can come to you

Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

- One of my favorite emails that we’ve gotten about the law firm tracker— Someone created a Google Chrome & Firefox extension that adds a banner at the top of each law firm’s website if they have caved to the administration or complied in advance. I love nerds!!!
- You can add the extensions to your browser here ⬇️ Google Chrome: chromewebstore.google.com/detail/badla... Firefox: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...

- In just two weeks and ~during finals no less~, the amicus brief gained support from: - 1,129 law students - 51 law student organizations - from 161 (out of 196) law schools - in 39 states and territories !!!
- Thank you @klasfeldreports.com for shining a light on the Coalition for Justice! I am so lucky to be at an institution like @georgetownlaw.bsky.social, working alongside such amazing student leaders. To all organizing in your little corners of this work—thank you! Together is the only way forward.

- Protesting matters because: -we show the fascists we will not be silenced and we are not scared -we show each other where we stand -we build community that sparks further action Don’t let anyone tell you protesting doesn’t matter.

- Curious about how a law firm has responded to the Trump administration's fascist attacks on the legal profession? 300+ firms represented in the attached tracker (and being regularly updated) docs.google.com/spreadsheets... (1/4)
- "We are a grassroots group of law students who were extremely disappointed to see members of the legal profession—law firms, Department of Justice lawyers, members of the Trump Admin—completely disregard the Constitution, rule of law, legal ethics & equal treatment & protection under the law." (2/4)
- "As law students make decisions about their careers, we thought it imperative to collect information about where law firms currently stand on the use of the federal government to attack lawyers, law firms, the legal profession, and freedom of speech and expression." (3/4)
- "We created this spreadsheet based on publicly available information to help law students make decisions that align with their values and to show those in the legal profession where their colleagues stand on such a critical and existential issue." (4/4)

- I hope this vote starts a larger conversation about the inherently undemocratic nature of the Senate & how the body was created specifically to restrain the power of the People. (don’t forget we used to not elect Senators)
