This one seems to be a “Frechdachs” (pert badger, the Germans do have a word for it, of course) judging from his mischievous mien

Feb 4, 2026 20:22Close but not a cigar - a "dackel" (the more common German term for a dachshund) is about badger-sized, that's where it comes from. Badgers are too dangerous for an "Erdhund" (lit "dog that goes to ground") to be brought to bay in their sett.
