- I am (Sara Sdelci, @crg.eu) very happy to have been selected as an @embo.org YIP! Thank you for selecting our project on how nuclear metabolism shapes cellular proliferation and aging; we are truly excited for the beautiful science ahead!
- Congratulations to the new cohort of 28 EMBO Young Investigators! They are joining an international network of more than 800 life scientists – Welcome! Read the press release here: embo.org/press-releases/twen…
- Dr. Jane Goodall has passed away. Her groundbreaking work with chimpanzees and her lifelong dedication to conservation changed how we see and care for our planet.
- Jane Goodall has died at the age of 91. In 2020, Goodall spoke with Science Editor-in-Chief H. Holden Thorp for a #ScienceEditorial reflecting on the 60th anniversary of her arrival in Gombe to study wild chimpanzees. Read more: scim.ag/472Chb8

- 🚀 We’re excited to share our latest publication in collaboration with Verena Ruprecht's group at @crg.eu Mechanobiology meets Nuclear Metabolism www.nature.com/articles/s41...
- Uncovering how mechanical forces can influence nuclear ATP levels, with downstream effects on DNA damage response and cell cycle progression. #Mechanobiology #NuclearMetabolism #CellFate #DNArepair #CellCycle
- Fantastic to see this wonderful piece out! Happy to have contributed to this effort 💪
- Very excited that our work describing hu.MAP3.0 is published in @molsystbiol.org. Here we use machine learning to integrate >25k mass spectrometry experiments to place ~70% of human proteins into 15k protein complexes. www.embopress.org/doi/full/10....

- As promised, here is our NEW preprint on CELL CYCLE ASSOCIATED PIP2 NUCLEAR METABOLISM by our SUPER postdoc Toni Gañez, who knows all the secrets of FUCCI reporters 👇 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
- Our initial question was: does the cell cycle control the association of metabolic enzymes with chromatin? The short answer is YES! We adapted the FUCCI system and extensively characterized U2OS FUCCI using HT-microscopy and FACS.
- 1) By integrating FUCCI reporters and classical proliferation/senescent markers, we identified a population of cells, which we termed G0-senescent, that had never before been identified using FUCCI.

- Reposted by Sdelci Labhey everyone! i made a list of some useful starter packs (primarily biology/earth sciences with a few bonus things thrown in) to share with friends who have joined bsky in the last week and thought it may be useful for some people here too! 🌍🧪 #SciSky #BioSky docs.google.com/document/d/1...
- Reposted by Sdelci LabI have curated a second "metabolism" starter pack, as the first quickly got full. Please have a look, and I am happy to add others (sorry for those who may appear in both): go.bsky.app/CH1MctZat://did:plc:mklo35zasunpbla4ipbtfafk/app.bsky.graph.starterpack/3lbwxfjr2f72n
- Amazing opportunity to join a great group.
- We have two open PhD positions in my group at @crg.eu. We are seeking candidates with a background in computational and/or molecular biology, and with a broad interest in evolutionary biology, gene regulation, and comparative genomics. 📅Apply before January 12 here: www.crg.eu/en/content/t...
