- We've never had free and fair elections in the United States. Not once. Not ever. Not for lack of trying! There's always a population blocked from voting. It's because the people with money know as soon as every citizen in every precinct can have easy access to the ballot, they're cooked.
- Also, I wish I knew where this "they're going to cancel the election!" news was coming from. Who is "they"? Which elections are they canceling? Our elections are not one thing. Our elections are hundreds of thousands of moving parts, and the Republicans are still running their elections as normal.
- Once I started paying attention to my county Election Commission I realized how messed up things are. A team of people, with very little training, who look at contested ballots and get to decide whether the votes of that person count? If no, in MY county, the ballot gets tossed and they never know.
- With the news about WAPO, there's never been a better time to explore RSS and collect your trusted news sources that still use RSS feeds all in one place. I've used Feedly (fine) and Inoreader (great), which both have free tiers.
- Most email newsletters have an RSS feed even if it's not advertised; paste the URL into the feed reader and it'll find it. Some don't, or are hard to find, or need to be turned on by the artist. Sometimes the feeds aren't full, just title/excerpt only, but will at least let you know about updates.
