I went to a gay bar tonight. (It’s probably been like 3 or 4 years.) I don’t understand how to operate. Saw many cute guys. Do you just talk to them? How do you know if they think you’re cute? What it they’re like 20 years younger and you seem creepy? I have not learned these skills.
I have weird age issues. I know it’s not totally uncommon for guys to be into older men but I am always afraid of being a “creepy old gay guy” which is clearly some deep internalized homophobia but I don’t know how to undo it.

I’ve decided to lean into the sadness today and watch movies to emotionally devastate me so I’m starting with Plainclothes and I can tell it’s gonna do the trick.
Also Russel Tovey is only like 4 or 5 years younger than me so I probably have a chance? Right?

Lots of heavy feelings today, but for me the biggest one is the gratitude we as a community feel toward the mothers who raised us and shaped us without even knowing. The collective grief speaks to her impact. An incredible legacy for an incredible human.
