- Some utterly non-historic news amid the constitutional dumpster fires: Today is my last day at The Intercept — and my last day doing my own reporting, at least for awhile. I can't thank my @theintercept.com colleagues enough for the chance to road test this hybrid lawyer/reporter newsroom role.
- A couple years ago, I pitched this hybrid role to a few different outlets. Some thought it sounded interesting, most gave me only blank stares or asked if I'd ever seen it done before. Only The Intercept took it seriously — and I'm so grateful we showed this is a viable model.

- Last night ACLU NorCal and ACLU PA filed a motion to quash another Homeland Security Investigations administrative subpoena aimed at unmasking online accounts: this time it's a "customs summons" for the "MontCo Community Watch” Facebook and Instagram accounts www.courtlistener.com/docket/71672...
- I've been watching for signs ICE/HSI was still abusing customs summonses, one of their go-to tools — despite a 2018 DHS inspector general report that determined this species of administrative subpoena is basically only good for merchandise inspections theintercept.com/2018/05/07/c...

- Yesterday, The Intercept sent a letter to Judge Young, asking him to clarify that certain materials he cited in his ruling are no longer under seal. This includes Homeland Security Investigations reports and State Dept memos about Mahmoud Khalil and others. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

- To a certain breed of FedSoc lawyer -- namely the ones who tried to get SCOTUS to hand Trump the 2020 election, via the Texas v Pennsylvania case -- "plenary" also means "non-reviewable."
