- Aid has always been political. So maybe it's healthy to be honest about that. But abandoning the most vulnerable because they aren't lucrative enough is a choice.
- Also...unchecked displacement, disease and poverty on the other side of the world is bad for Canada. Even if the only thing you care about is keeping asylum-seeker numbers low (and we know Canada cares about that).
