Literally this morning, I was chatting with a seasoned Hollywood producer who just had a project halted b/c executives were skittish about it being too gay. Not only is a mass-erasure of queer characters plausible... it's already begun.
- Don't "thots & prayers" trans* and queer people this month, much less today. Instead, give money directly to trans* people and/or Trans-led orgs who are directly supporting people in need. Queer people need material and practical support to stay safe and alive, not mouth-words-only "allies".

- I'm currently reading Malinda Lo's 'Last Night at the Telegraph Club' and I can't help but feel like this book made its way to me when I MOST needed the nightly refuge. Grateful to Lo's craft and the heart put into dynamic and delightful characters.

- I just wrote my Dem senators & thanked them for standing by Trans people. This is important to do, period. Also, if we all fight for the civil rights and liberties of Trans* people, we fight for ALL humans. If they decide they can sacrifice the ~1.3% of the pop. that is Trans*, we are all doomed.
