- Did you know that Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is one of only two income support programs for disabled people in the US (three if you count VA benefits), but more than half of its recipients live under the federal poverty line due to decades of neglect?
- @socio-steve.bsky.social did something called microsimulation analysis (you will have to ask him what that means!) to test the impacts of the SSI Restoration Act, the most prominent and ambitious legislative proposal to modernize SSI.
