- Reposted by Kara Linghi folks! i'm looking for full-time remote work in game design! my specialty is tabletop games (i've both self-published and contributed to award-winning & bestselling TTRPGs) but i've also written for jam-winning video games! is your company hiring? get in touch & i can send my portfolio!
- TR-49 was really enjoyable, another good Inkle game. I managed to get all the entries in one (long) session with no out-of-game hints. If you like detective, investigation, database-search type games this is a must play: store.steampowered.com/app/3838370/...
- Top Ten games I played (for the first time) in 2025 Editor's Note: I played Blue Prince last year (was #2 on my 2024 list)
- These are the best new albums (and EPs) I listened to in 2025, in no particular order. Playlists in replies "album of the year" is probably Trains Running Backwards by Hana Eid, which is wild because it only just came out. Swallow the Knife (Sir Chloe) + Precipice (Indigo De Souza) also great

- Reposted by Kara Lingare you jewish and do you think you can gather 2-5 players for TTRPG playtest that must take place in the next 48 hours? if so, send me a DM!
- On launch of #Vanitera450 we ended the day with twice as many Cataphract orders as we processed. So we paused the game for a week and I built a bot that fully automates letter sending + delivery with correct node-based pathfinding for messenger NPCs. We've reopened for a few days, so far so good!
- I strongly believe 90% of this ruleset can be automated, and it opens up possibilities to scale or do stuff that's manually exhausting too. I finished automated networked Foraging and Torching commands earlier. More time spent GMing fun crunchy stuff and less time doing manual A* pathfinding
- I'm co-running a modified Cataphract game which starts in one week. It's a 'play-on-Discord' wargame set across two fantasy medieval continents and will run for 1 year realtime. We have 55 players(!!!) signed up but will need more, if you're interested let me know samsorensen.blot.im/cataphracts-...
- For @samsorensen.bsky.social's #OVER/UNDER I created WEATHERVANE, an in-universe themed combat simulator. Using it, our faction was able to predict the outcome of any battle with a high degree of confidence. It helped us price mercenary contracts and go into any combat knowing the expected outcomes.
- We learned a few neat things: Block Security Ratings were absolutely busted. You could defend a 100 SR Block with a handful of squads to the point it was practically un-takeable. Single upgraded Tempest units were going 1v10+ in some cases. Default units hurt themselves more than they hurt enemies 💀
- Kinophobia is a good, free Search and Detect game. It's a touch rougher than the commercial ones but it also has the best hint system of any of them, no guides or joining discords required. If you enjoyed Roottrees or Type Help, play this! brunodias.itch.io/kinophobia

- The Seance of Blake Manor is a good new detective game. I'm already seeing people hit it with the hyperbole laser + throw around words like Obra and Dinn... just ignore, calibrate your expectations and enjoy store.steampowered.com/app/1395520/...
- watching over/under players learn the same lessons the blaseball community learned the hard way is deeply nostalgic.... we cross and re-cross our old tracks like figure skaters
- #over/under is a currently-running 1400-player wargame played entirely on Discord players are divided into factions with conflicting goals + themes. besides 'faction bosses', players' actions are limited to voting on stuff, earning money + doing text-based roleplay bsky.app/profile/ianb...
- I'm the Head of UX at YouTube and it's my job to ensure the UI is as big and slow as possible. Our latest revision (internally titled Colossal Sloth) is our biggest + slowest yet! Every time one of my reports pitches an improvement i make them write it on a post-it note then eat it during standup
- My doctor listens to the same film podcast as me and every time they read out one of her emails I forget and am shocked like "why does my doctor have such strong opinions about Tron Ares???"
- Strategically coming out over a year before the release of Supergirl (2026) so that nobody thinks I named myself after a DCU character. Now I only have to explain I've never seen Battlestar Galactica to people 🙏
