I have totally lost faith in the British public. I feel like I am surrounded absolute idiots. Almost every single one of them. Thankfully some of you guys keep me sane. But left and right, educated and uneducated, most people have lost the fucking plot entirely. As a society we are doomed.

Especially when it’s pretty obvious that the media is slavering for the outcome they’ve been working towards for 20 months. I can understand the hope that more rational people have that Starmer stepping down will mean a reset, but they are forgetting that the media will simply pivot on the next PM.

A change in PM would NOT stop the media. It would NOT stop Farage and the far right. What it would do is embolden the lot of them. It would see calls for an immediate general election to happen. It's what they all have been going for and all why Farage has often said there will be a GE in 2027.

I want starmer to stay but I do think it's high time mcsweeney faced the chop. Most of the errors have been down to him

Because he made a decision based on the information he had at the time and new information has come to light?

Because of the accumulation of too many errors of judgement.
