- The inverse of this happened to me recently. I undertook a one way “terminal” extubation. Spoke at length to family before and after on a few occasions as they clambered for understanding. SPC involved. All lines removed. Placed in a side room with IPOC created. 7 days later, they walked home.
- This is a common conundrum. I have many thoughts. One of which is how will the patient/NOK specific interpretation of Martha’s Rule impact activity, decision making and inter-team relationships?
- Spent the past hour showing A-level students the joy of POCUS. Watching them have their moments of joy, identifying their own organs, vessels and sticking ultrasound guided paper clips in oranges has been the highlight of my week. Sometimes I really love my job.
