- Reposted by Alex DicksonImportant paper. Schools are high-risk environments for respiratory disease transmission MAINLY because classrooms are underventilated. This problem has a workable solution - it just needs political will. Air quality is as important as water quality for public health. MT @martinmckee.bsky.social
- Our paper modelling transmission risk in schools is published in Nature Communications. **The relative contribution of close-proximity contacts, shared classroom exposure and indoor air quality to respiratory virus transmission in schools** doi.org/10.1038/s414...
- This. Anyway, there are more of us than them. If they decide to try to intimidate us that should just make us even more determined to turn the elections into one great big community festival and make sure everyone votes.

- I've noticed a new trend here of women posting a photo of themselves with the phrase "not in the files" And ... uhhh ... I guess I'm happy for you? But please don't forget that the victims are in the files. The victims are in the files and I am going to stand with them.
- I'm honestly confused as to why anyone would think there are only two options: "not in the files" or "perpetrator in the files"
- If you aren't part of the wealthy and powerful, and that's most of us, the only reason you would be in the files is as a VICTIM. And I'm glad you aren't one of the victims. There but for the grace of God and all that. It's not something to brag about.
- Yes, they will do everything they can. And there is a real difference between that and rigging an election. Maybe I'm a bit too pedantic, but I strongly believe it's important to define the differences. Why is it so difficult to expect and want clarity on conversations about the risks we face?
- I'm so tired of flattening these serious conversations to imply it's "all the same thing!" It is not all the same thing and the people deserve a serious and honest discussion about what we are facing.

- I would definitely read a report about who owns these facilities, when they purchased/built/renovated, projected profit from sale, and how much they donated to Trump, the GOP, and Trump supporting PACs.

- Good. I hope venues across the region are scrambling to find space for many of the Kennedy Center programs (what a great way to introduce audiences to venues they have never attended). The loss of the venue for just two years will be a tragic loss to the community.
- But: The Kennedy Center plans to continue funding the National Symphony Orchestra, and has agreed to find it alternative places to perform, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post. www.washingtonpost.com/entertainmen...
- At the very least, we should be making every effort to keep the NSO alive and financially healthy.
- Is CNN suggesting that the NSO had cancelled their 2026-27 season?
- Yes. Although he just might do a bit of demo, strip out anything he thinks might be valuable, and leave the empty damaged shell.

- Anosognosia is a condition where your brain cannot recognize one or more health conditions you have. It's a physical change in the brain and different from denial. More than 80% of Alzheimer's patients experience anosognosia.
- It may seem like a patient is being stubborn or living in denial when in reality, this condition affects a person's ability to understand what is happening to their own body. A frightening thought for any of us. And yes, a very not a good situation with the President of the United States.
