- I've been looking at FEC campaign finance reports a bit just to get the lay of the land, and man, Dalia al-Aqidi (who?, you ask) has quite the grift going.
- This candidate, who has no chance of winning and no visible presence in the community where she's allegedly running for Congress, appears to be raising a ton of money from retired rubes across the country and funneling almost all of it to Virginia-based consultants.
- She also paid herself over $26K in rent last year. Her official campaign address is a UPS Store in Golden Valley. Always nice to get a glimpse at what happens to loyal Republican donors' money.
- "There is a tradition in our family that we are descendants of a Pringle boy who came not many generations ago from Scotland … [H]e was apprenticed in some seaport town to a ship's blacksmith. Living in the family of his master he came under the discipline of the blacksmith's wife …" 1/4
- "… who was wont to chastise him severely. One day, when the boy had attained considerable size, his mistress was administering the customary punishment, the boy stooping before her, his head between her knees, while she was belaboring his posterior parts." 2/4
- "The severity of the blows stirred the boy to rebellion, so gathering all his strength in an effort for freedom, he upset his mistress and escaped." 3/4
- "When he had opportunity to consider what he had done, and the consequences of his rebellious act, he knew it would never do to fall into the hands of his mistress again, so he escaped to a ship bound for America." 4/4
- Peggy Flanagan's campaign must be feeling pretty good about the fact that they didn't hop on Bluesky to brag when this same unfortunately named organization endorsed her six months ago. (This appears to be a co-endorsement now.)
- Ruin a film by adding Melania: Love Is Colder Than Melania
- I will caucus, propose the resolutions from @abetterdfl.org and Mpls Families for Public Schools, run for delegate to two of the three conventions, and move for proportional representation of non-attendees.
