We need term limits for US Senators, Congressional representatives, and SCOTUS.
Also, we need leaders who actually enforce the US Constitution.
I disagree with the suggestion that term limits would further empower lobbyists and therefore we shouldn't consider them as a viable path forward. The current system of federal elected officials who are financially incentivized to become insider traders until they choose to retire isn't working.
Jan 4, 2026 04:51We’ve had term limits in Ohio for 30 years. The state is thoroughly run by lobbyists now and you could track that happening in real time after limits were imposed. It’s made state government thoroughly corrupt. It’s folly to pretend this hasn’t been tried and found badly wanting.
