- It’s happening again, Joe
- Not super jazzed about giving Nintendo game preservation flowers for releasing a $150 plastic visor while access to its historic software catalogue is increasingly diminished across hardware generations and subscription services.
- Sony has patented the idea of AI-generated podcasts hosted by characters from its games. The idea would see players getting their own bespoke podcasts on their console, telling them what's new, hosted by the characters of the games they've been playing. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-pa...
- The problem with IGN Takes hitting the feed as (disproportionately?) reflective of the average Gamer, is that they consistently hit “never beating the allegations” levels of art misinterpretation. Resident Evil has been camp for thirty years. It’s the secret sauce that gives its horror longevity.
- A fumbled read on Resident Evil’s relationship with humour isn’t awful in a vacuum but we’ve had decades of press and gamers alike who can only ever interpret Japanese art in reductive ways. Everything is weird when everyone is othered in your estimations.
- My favourite season is awards #LastFourWatched
- Catherine O’Hara’s work on Schitt’s Creek was truly career defining. That woman rewrote the rules of the English language and I hope she’s folding it in someplace beautiful now.
- I used the torment nexus to make a Mario and you won’t believe what happened next
- Every video game remake should be accompanied by its original version being made available on modern platforms.
- Bloober becoming, even in part, a horror remake house is mildly interesting. Especially if we start pushing into adaptation territory, though Rule of Rose would be an incredible lol, lmao place to start.
- I was a card carrying Bloober hater but Silent Hill 2 Remake had the juice. It also had some baffling additions but the overall formal quality speaks to a team that is, even in part, improving its craft.
