- Joey sculpted some shambling horrors from green stuff and zombie parts. I think he has plans for more using different parts. Maybe Skaven? Orks?
- Prime time. #Oldhammer is the best hammer.
- Tonight I’ve been working on heavy bolters and gunners. #Oldhammer is the best hammer.
- The 40k 2nd project continues with some solid finds. Granted, the Orks are definitely early RT-era. But very playable in 2nd! #Oldhammer is the best hammer.
- Scott Co Couthouse, Winchester, IL. 2025
- A little Saturday night Xenos Rampant for Joey and me. His mixed Xenos band vs. my imperial guard.
- The search for 40k 2nd Ed materials continues. We’re still missing the Rulebook and “Black Book” army lists. The Tyranid and Imperial Guard codexes are missing as well. We’ll find them. #Oldhammer is the best hammer.
- Happy New Year! Project for 2026: 40k 2nd Ed! I rung in the new year assembling these Genestealers I bought in ‘95 or ‘96.
- With the Landsknechts done, that completes the full 61-strong Romero!
- Joey’s 40-point Warband for Dragon Rampant, Thrakk’s Eye of Moloch. Some Orcs, Goblins, Skaven and a random assortment of Lesser and Greater Dæmons. What’s not to like?
- Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode- no Star Wars, Marvel, LOTR. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this one 37 times.
- That’s 10 more zombies done for the horde. 54/61
- Warhammer Underworlds is a really great game and we should play it more often.
- Stephen surveys the snow.
- First shotgun season The truck’s owner is absent The whitetail mocks him Pike Co, IL 2025
- Deer out past curfew. Pike Co, IL. 2025.
- Deep within the mountains of Tyrolia, an ancient, dark keep looms over a half-forgotten pass. The ruler of the keep and its village sends just enough tribute to the so-called King of Bavaria to keep his occupying troops out. It is, after all, for their own good. Figure by Footsore Miniatures.
- Some heroes and vampires that I primed black and drybrushed a very light gray as I continue the gothic horror project. The heroes are 3d prints of STLs from Lost Heresy Miniatures. The female vampire is from GW and the male is from Footsore Miniatures.
- Otokar Knock is a foul and dreaded necromancer. His legions of undead stalk the night, searching for prey. Will our heroes survive their onslaught?
- A Romero of 20 zombies! Just in time for a spooky, scary game of Fistful of Lead: Tales of Horror from @wileygames.bsky.social
- Oldhammer = the best hammer.
- It is time for my annual listen.
- Deer at harvest. Pike Co, IL. 2025
- Counter-banshee defenses deployed!
- Just arrived from the UK! It’s only Packing Heat by @ioanmakesgames.bsky.social! I’m looking forward to getting it on the table soon!
- Reposted by Jay ArnoldHello new Bskies and fresh followers! Just a reminder that we small Indie creators and artists don't have shareholders to satisfy, just bills to pay. And that while Likes are lovely, Reposting stuff is the best way to help with visibility for us. If you see models or art you love, please share!
- Friendly reminder: The Veteran Wargamer is a Genestealer Cult Stan account.
- It's Just a Cult thing... #oldhammer
- If anyone has any 1st or 2nd edition era 40k Orks and is looking to offload them, please let me know. Joey is very interested in getting some more.
- The Retro Watchtower from @doctorspork.bsky.social is all printed, cured and the dry fit is great! A large printer is necessary if you want to tackle this model in resin. I used an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra and an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro for smaller parts. You can see I cut the base into 2 pieces to print it.
