If anyone is wondering why attendance is so low at these club world cup and gold cup matches, it’s a combination of FIFA/CONCACAF/US Soccer greed, weather, geography, and a diluted product. Here’s why that will be a problem for the world cup next year 1/9
But for now, I’d rather save my money and go see the US women play some marquee matchups in Brazil in (their winter) 2027 than drive 7 hours to watch a sub optimal, expensive, oppressively hot game midday in Kansas City. 9/9
